How can you help?

As a registered charity we rely on public donations and throughout the year plan a number of fundraising events also.   Our service is run by trained volunteers who give their time freely and all monies raised go to providing the venue for the Child Contact Centre sessions, the day to day running costs and children’s toys.

Able to donate?

We are extremely grateful to all of those that have donated and supported us financially. Should you wish to help us to continue to offer this service please donate by sending a cheque to the Co-ordinator, Child Contact Cente, Village Centre, Victoria Street, Englefield Green, Surrey, TW20 0QX. Please make cheques payable to The Child Contact Centre.

Interested in becoming a Volunteer?

Have you got what it takes to help create happy family memories for children? If so, read on because we would like your help:-)

Volunteers work as a team during the sessions and need to be impartial, caring, tolerant, sensitive, flexible, discreet and reliable. They must always put the children’s needs first and not take sides with either parent or any other adults involved in the contact.

Full training is given and a DBS Disclosure check carried out.

The role:

  • to welcome and support parents and their children
  • to help with the setting up/clearing away of the Child Contact Centre
  • to facilitate appropriate activities/games for the children with their parent
  • to assist with refreshments
  • to support the Co-ordinator in the general running of the Child Contact Centre during the session.

Volunteers need to commit to one Saturday over a two month period, 1:30pm – 4:30pm to help cover the roster.

If you would like to help make a difference, please email coordinator@villagecentre.org.uk to enquire further.
