The Village Centre in Englefield Green opened in September 2010 and acts as a meeting place, a community café and a source of information for the local community.
Two weekends each month the Child Contact Centre is run at The Village Centre, on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 2pm – 4pm.
The Village Centre is only used by the Child Contact Centre on these Saturday afternoons. The centre is warm, friendly and welcoming and during contact sessions there is a great atmosphere as our focus is the children having fun. There are different entry/exit points for resident parents and visiting parents/family members.
During the contact session the resident parent is welcome to stay in the cafe area of The Village Centre or could explore the local area:
- Egham high street is a 3/4 mile walk away. This is down hill or there is a local bus.
- Englefield Green has a village green just a few roads away with a small childrens play area or benches around the green to sit on.
- Windsor Great Park is a 15 minute walk away.
There is a public car park in the street just a few minutes walk away from The Village Centre.
We are on the main bus route from Egham, Staines and Windsor.
The nearest train station is Egham which is approximately 1 mile away. Note that although a short walking distance of approximately 30 minutes, it is up hill to Englefield Green.
